I don’t think Biden had confused expression. I saw 👀 an INCREDULOUS expression at all the overwhelming LIES 🤥that 🍊creature was flinging. And moderators allowed it. Thank you, tho, for your work to help us save democracy.

There were a few times Biden got genuinely confused and lost where he was going. We defeated Medicare? Talking about immigration when he was supposed to be talking about abortion? Those could have been slam dunks for him. I think it's okay to acknowledge weakness or mistakes. That said, a debate performance is just that -- a performance. It doesn't mean much in the grand scheme. We know what kind of country we had under Trump and the kind of country we have under Biden.

Thanks for this! Appreciate knowing about the Gish gallop.

As bad as Biden was, he is still the better candidate, president and man! Trump did not win, lying is not winning!

Agree with Joanne re Biden's confusion.

Everyone that cares about America needs to know and understand what the Gish Gallop is and how to deal with it. (Heather Cox Richardson wrote about this also on her substack) Trump lives by this line of BS all the time. He does NOT tell the truth ever, he just keeps telling one lie after another....... He is sick sick sick and will attempt to destroy our country if we let him. And his supporters are being taken to the cleaners by him, because he does NOT care about them either. He ONLY and ALWAYS ONLY cares about himself and what he wants and how he can use others to get what he wants. Do NOT fall for his BS and do NOT let his blind supporters try to intimidate you to fall for the BS! He uses everyone all the time.......Stand up and keep fighting!!!!

Trump did not have one coherent, definitive answer to any questions asked by the moderators. Biden had several credible responses to questions when he wasn't responding incredulously to lies told by his opponent.

Absolutely. Biden really knocked it out of the park sometimes. He also lost his train of thought sometimes, especially in the beginning. I'm not neurotic about him running again. I know we are in much better hands than we would be with small hands. But I think it's okay and healthy to acknowledge that the debate wasn't ideal.

Considering he had jet lag, a cold, hoarse throat from still performing presidential duties and no one would have been prepared for the Gish gallop that the 🍊creature is so excellent at delivering lies/nonsense at such a wicked fast pace. Cnn said 600+ lies, delivered at less than 4 seconds each. I saw 👀 an incredulous 🤨 expression on Biden’s face. He answered questions in a weak, soft voice. I’ll give him a pass. We need Biden and his top skillful team he put together that delivered awesome policies for the American people. 💙

I’m wondering what you think about a lot of people who are calling for Joe Biden to step aside and let another democrat run for president. Now, don’t get me wrong, I will vote for Biden over Trump, but I’m not who Biden needs to convince. Most of America says he is too old to continue. Most of America, including myself, is disappointed that the choices we have for president are between these two men. There is so much apathy around this election. Wouldn’t a new, younger candidate bring some life back into the race? I also have to say that though I think Biden has done a good job, I am not pleased with how he has handled some aspects of it (i.e. Gaza), so I would be open to someone with a fresh eyes to run our country. What do you think?

Thank you for the question Megan! I feel pretty strongly that Biden should stay the course and continue. For starters, we already have a plan of succession if Biden is truly unable to do that job. I would be excited to have a President Kamala Harris, as she was one of the front-runners in my mind during the 2020 primary. Do I wish politicians who are well over the national retirement age would go sip iced tea on a beach somewhere and leave the policy making to someone else. Yes. But Democrat have two key features that are going against us this election cycle: 1. We're a neurotic bunch who find flaws with every person out there, and 2. We're a big tent that has to hold lots of people and perspectives. I see it as nearly impossible to get Democrats to coalesce around one candidate right now.

I think it's a fair question that many people in the country are asking. I just don't think it's the best course.

I totally concur w/everything you said. I feel the same. Stick w/Biden and his outstanding team who helped usher thru amazing policies for the American people. He was tired for those 90 minutes. Because do we see the pace he keeps? He had jet lag, hoarse throat, and a 🥶 cold. His team will help him deliver..
