I woke up this morning and read every word that you wrote. It was beautiful and I'm with you all the way. It's time for a woman to fix what a man can't. I'm old enough to remember women's lib and burning bras. Remember Helen Reddy, I am woman hear me roar? Remember Billie Jean King beating Bobby Riggs? Need I say more? You are a great mom. I hope you continue with your grandkids. We need more woman like you in this country. I'm a 72 year old hippie and I believe in peace and love. Tiffany, I’m down here in Salmon and trying to find info in Project 2025 that addresses wildland fires and what it would do to the practices that are now in place. I can speculate, but I can’t seem to put my finger on anything in the document to draw from. This might be a good future post considering all that is going on in the west right now. Thank you for your consideration and insight!
Thank you Karen! There's some info on Page 308 about restoring Trump's executive order from 2018 about woodland management. Here's what it says:
"Champion executive action, consistent with law, and proactive legislation to reduce wildfires. This would involve embracing Executive Order 13855, building upon it, and working with lawmakers to promote active management of vegetation, reduce regulatory obstacles to reducing fuel buildup, and increase timber sales."
I definitely need to do some more research to figure out what this means, but I do remember that Trump went to California and talked about raking the forests, so obviously this is a man who should be in charge of woodland management!
