No price of eggs is worth all of this.
Even if eggs cost $1,000 a carton, it’s still not worth family separation or stolen land or a perishing planet. Human relationships are not transactions. The value of a person cannot be reduced to coins or pounds of flesh.
Capitalism is a deceptive teacher. It whispers lies like, “Selfishness is a virtue. Empathy, a vice.”
You are too old to not know this, and I fear at this late stage, you will never learn.
But at the end of your life. When your mindless self-interest leaves you empty. When everyone you’ve paid has clocked out. When you are alone in the unadulterated frost of a loveless life.
You will hear the wails of mothers separated from their children.
You will see the blood in the water of the land you stole.
You will smell the smoke of the fires you started.
And you will know that the suffering you inflicted never quelled the torment inside of you.
Plus, eggs were still expensive.
Tiffany, I appreciate your frankness in telling the story of this person who is our President. No sugar coating from you-hear the cries of mothers and children being separated, seeing blood in the water-the sad truth of Project 2025 IS happening! Thank you for your honesty in telling what is REALLY happening!
Eloquent.
